We are hiring for a new full-time Marketing and Programming Director starting immediately, to shape and build our next wave of growth.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Manage all of the marketing and programming at UCSF Health Hub, one of the nation's top health care innovation centers.  It's a very hands-on job where you'll oversee our 20,000 members and subscribers, our acclaimed UCSF Digital Health Awards event--considered the 'Oscars of health care', our webinar and event programs, and oversee our company to advisor matching platform, the nation's largest for early-stage healthcare companies.

You'll report to our Chairman and you'll be supported by a few key part-time consultants and interns. You will be expected to create, execute and manage all new website development directly, not managing others (using Webflow), write, push and track all outbound email (Mailchimp) and social media campaigns, coordinate with the UCSF internal teams, our Board of Directors, ideate on new marketing campaigns, sell and execute on key sponsorship programs and prioritize how to best spend our $500,000 annual marketing budget.  

If you haven't been directly in charge of a company or product's digital presence, can show your clear wins in multiple social media campaigns, point to your growing an N thousand e-mail subscriber base, and run online webinars with 500+ attendees--stop reading here.  This isn't the opportunity for you.  These accomplishments are our table stakes.  We need these skills on day one.

What makes you special?

Being an amazing writer and communicator is perhaps the most critical key skill.   Since you'll have at least 25 concurrent campaigns and dozens of daily follow-ups, the ability to communicate (and execute) at a high level is paramount, as much of your time with be working with healthcare leadership and healthcare CEOs.  You'll need to also be technical enough, be super comfortable managing cloud-based tools and editing directly a lot in real-time.  Finally, having managed a 10,000+ subscriber base and having run highly attended Zoom webinars is pretty much a must. You'll be our 3rd Marketing Director, inheriting a pretty finely tuned system, toolkit, and group of consultants and volunteers that are passionate.  All that said, we want to take UCSF Health Hub to the next level---projecting our leadership across the healthcare innovation ecosystem, do we are seeking that persona that can represent us well nationally.


Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States, although being in the Pacific Coast time zone is a plus.  While we have an office in San Francisco, the only activities on campus are events--which are off until next Fall and where we have on-site event management folks that can administrate.
