Problem Tech Solves

Tech Brief

Consentic – intelligent consent, is a complete consent management platform developed for doctors, by doctors. Patients watch a short infographic animation, outlining their procedure. To complete the process, patients then complete a checklist to assess their understanding, then sign an electronic consent form. We are solving the issue of providing informed consent to patients in clinics/hospitals and participants in clinical trials. Informed consent should give the patients the power to make decisions for their medical procedure/treatment - and this can be done if they understood the procedures well, which they usually don't. This usually increases the medicolegal risks which are also unfortunate for doctors/researchers. According to research, easy-to-understand animations are preferred by most patients and increase doctors' efficiency in consenting patients.

Tech Differentiators

There are too many reasons! But, to name a few 1. Patients love us - our patient rating is 4.8 of 5 stars. 2. We save clinician time (3 to 5 minutes per consent) and 2 hours of clinical trial staff time per consent, translating to $300,000 per phase III clinical trial Unlike most similar companies, we offer customised animation to inform patients of their medical procedures/treatments for a much simpler and faster way of consenting patients. We are the only consent company to convert participant information sheets into a simple to understand animation. We also offer our consent management platform to big organisations such as clinical trial centres and research organisations to help improve the recruitment process in their clinical trials.
